Strain Profile: Blue Satellite #1
Hey everybody,Here's my latest grow.I germed all 12 seeds and got 7 nice fems.Seeds all germed in 24 hours and showed vigorous growth from the start. This seems to be a feature of all the S.O.L. strains I've grown. This strain is a cross of S.O.L.'s Shishkaberry #3 and D.J. Short's Blueberry Sativa. In the veg,the plants showed a lot of leaf mutation, but that dissapeared when I flowered them. The plants finished between 60-75 days. Some express more purple than others but all had a very sativa appearance to the buds.Stretch wasn't bad at all, they all finished under 3 feet.In the grow, the smell is kind of pungent, not berry at all.The dryed bud tastes very much like the Shiskaberry #3,which tastes a little like ST #3 and Blueberry.I'm sure it will age very gracefully in a ceramic jar,and should be mouth-watering in a couple months. The buzz is extremely heady, clear and very potent.Almost like a blue version of C99.The resin production is INCREDIBLE.Everything but the stalk is covered in frost. The buds are solid but the yeild isn't huge.If you grew enough it would make an excellent strain for Bubble hash.I ran my trim through my B-bags and the quality is outstanding. Most of the pics are the last plant I harvested. It was the best one and showed the most purple. My night temps were as low as 55*F,but only a couple turned purple.I purchased my seeds from Seeds Direct for $110 for 12 seeds. The price is at the high end of what I'm willing to pay for seeds, but they are well worth it.If you are considering a blue strain,I would certainly recommend Blue Satellite #1
