Blueberry is not as fruity and tasty as people make it out to be, especially pure Blueberry. I have found the taste of Blueberry to be dull with barely a hint of Blueberry. I find it to taste very bland along the lines of most Afghanis and it really doesn't smoke that smoothly, kinda harsh. I am a big fan of tasty buds and Blueberry just is not even when cured, although I did have a Blueberry cross with Haze/Skunk (Real McCoy) that produce some amazingly fruity bud, but now I atttribute the Real McCoy to bringing that flavor. More than half of the strains I have tried have twice the taste as pure Blueberry.

Vic High and others will tell you Blueberry is a great strain to breed into other plants with, but alone it really is not that special other than a really pleasant, euphoric high. I would not touch Nirvana's Blueberry or any other pure with a ten foot pole again, although an excellent smoke, there are just a lot better strains out there. I would not shy away from Bluberry crosses as some have been my favorites, just the pure Blueberry

I would say that Blueberry had a euphoric Indica stone and high. Definetely a couch lock with mostly body I found, but with that some-what up quality in the head opposed to one that really brings you down hard and makes you tired like typical Afghani.

That is what is desirably about Blueberry really. Afghani dominates the growth structure, flowering times, taste and smell (somewhat) while the Thai's bring a little sativa to the mix in the high with the Afghani/body stone underlying that small sativa high. I grew Nl#5 X Blueberry (Big Blue) from Emery and it blew away pure Blueberry in every aspect. Twice as vigorous, bigger yield, great fruity tastes (Nl#5 is actually a very fruity strain with MUCH more fruity taste than Blueberry) and just an all around keeper of a strain. Chose a mom as some of the plants had no taste while others had great taste.
