First a little background....
I'm an experienced grower that has grown both in and outdoors for years. I have had great luck with Sag's SLYDER last year and know others that like their genetics too. I HAVE NO AX TO GRIND HERE!!!
These EARLY RISER's were germinated about 6 weeks ago. Out of a 10 pack of seeds all 10 sprouted and made it to the first transplanting into 6" pots filled with SuperSoil and were then vegged up till the beginning of last week where they were then subjected to the 12/12 bloom/sex schedule.
I haven't changed a thing I've ever done in regards to how these beans were started, vegged and sexed or generally taken care of. These were beautiful, healthy & vigorous plants. After about 8 or 9 days the first male showed.
The subsequent days since then have also produced ALL males. I have 2 of these left and I'd almost bet my bottom dollar that these 2 will also be male. So for a review here....
10 beans started, vegged for almost 5 weeks total then they were subjected to the 12/12 schedule. 8 out of 10 so far have showed male and the 2 that're left are probably male too. This is the first time that I've EVER had a full 10 pack of seeds go COMPLETELY all male (like I said the 2 remaining are probably boys too.) The ONLY saving grace here is the fact that I took the best one and transplanted him so at least I can harvest some pollen....tho with the luck I have with these I'm not counting on that either. Thinking of EARLY RISER?? In my opinion and experience, I'd recommend that you keep right on looking and pass these by. NEVER AGAIN!! Most anything else will give you better results.
