Strain Profile:

Magic Carpet Ride is our attempt to re-create the old-school afgan P1 type that originally came into Northern California in late 70's.

The mother of this strain was kept as a seed in Petrolia since early 80's in mason jars and came directly from Afganistan. We got a few to sprout and were surprised by how far what we call " Indica " had drifted from the old ideal through interbreeding by unknowledgeable breeders thinking anything with wide leaves was indica.

We have line-bred this plant successively choosing for flavor, aroma, and earliness in males as well as females, so it now harvest last week of Augest/1st week of Sept. and it responds great to draught and altitude's above 3500ft. Indoors it harvest in 7 weeks but looks done in 6 but glands really swell in last week to make plant look wet.

This strain also responds well to 18 hours of darkness for last week as it really increases resin production and weight at harvest. This one is sure to win some pure indica awards as it has a hint of spicy Cambodian thrown in for THC ratio and taste.

Earthy-spicy taste lingers like a fine wine and buzz will last for hours without overpowering. This is only thinking man's indica I have seen yet. Height is 5-7ft. and plants have pink/purple calyx's that will turn lavender at harvest. Yields have been out of this world if placed outside in full sun, this is also one of few that benefits from topping if done early ( also good candidate for 'arrest' hormone chemical pinch to keep main bud foundation ).
